Astronomy PhD + Python

We are seeking experienced Astronomy experts to help train and evaluate AI models in astronomical science domains.

This position requires:

• Doctoral degree (PhD) or current doctoral candidate in the relevant field
• Experience using Python in academic research or applied projects

In this role, you will contribute to advancing AI research by creating challenging problems in your field of expertise.

Compensation:

• $500 qualification bonus (received upon passing qualification)
• $100/hour after passing qualification

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality astronomy problems and solutions
• Ability to create coding problems in Astronomy, with solutions and evaluation tests to measure AI model performance.
• Review and validate AI-generated astronomy content
• Provide detailed explanations for complex astronomy concepts

Requirements

• Doctoral degree current Doctoral candidate in Astronomy, Astrophysics, or related field
• Experience using Python in academic research or applied projects
• Excellent written communication skills
• Experience in teaching or tutoring astronomy
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly
